Cloves (Szygium aromaticum)

The parts that are being used are the buds, which is strongly aromatic, intensely fragrant, fiery & burning in taste.  Cloves are the most valued product in the spice kingdom because of these characteristics and are being held in high esteem by chefs around the world.

Packing: in 50kg nett gunny bags with inner polythene.  Also available in 10kg cartons with our own brand “DEVI”.



 

Cinnamon (Cinnamomum zelanicum)

Cinnamon, the most delicately scented spice known for its incomparable superior rich aroma is used mainly for making tastier dishes.  Cinnamon is widely used by pharmaceutical & perfume manufacturers as a value added raw material for superior product development.  Cinnamon is also used in Aromatherapy, a modern essential oil therapy popular in the Western countries.

Cinnamon is available in the forms of:

Cinnamon quills - Continental, Hamburg & Mexican grades
Cylindrical bales and cut lengths
Quillings superfine, No 1 & FAQ
Featherings, chips, powder
Cinnamon bark and leaf oil

 





 

Nutmeg & Mace (Mystica frangrans)

Both spices inherent a strong aroma & warm in taste.  Mace is generally said to have a finer aroma than nutmeg.  The difference between nutmeg & mace is marginal with nutmeg being pale brown in colour while mace is reddish tan.  Maximum moisture content of nutmegs & mace is 10%.

Packing:   Nutmegs in 25 kg polythene lined gunny bags.

Mace in 25 kg wooden cases.



 

Betel Nuts (Arica cathechu)

Fruit contains a fiberous husk and a corn-shaped seed in tanin and red dye.

The seed or betel nut is chewed with other ingredients such as cloves, licorice and fresh betel leaves.

Packing: in 50kg gunny bags.




 

Black Pepper (Piper nigrum)

Used vastly in ayurvedic and herbal concoctions.

Moisture content in black pepper is 11% (maximum) whilst average mould and foreign material is 1% (maximum).

Packing: customary.




 

Fresh Coconut

Can be shipped with or without husk.  Classified according to the girth which could be 15 to 14 inch, 14 to 13 inch or 12 inch and below.

Packing: in coir bags of 50 nuts, paper bags of 25 nuts, and cartons of 15 nuts.



 

Natural Rubber

Made by processing latex sap of several varieties of tropical trees.  Natural rubber is exported as coagulated rubber sheets, properly dried and smoked.

Sheets are classified into 5 grades: RSS 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 - sorted on the basis of the amount of dust or resinous particles found.

Packing: Rubber covered bales. The maximum weight of each bale is 50kg net for gross/customary.




Ekels

A by product of the coconut tree after nuts have been plucked for various value added coconut products.

Ekels are widely used to produce broom sticks, a product which has created high demand in the Asian countries.

Packing: in 50kg bales.


Tamarind (Tamrindus indices)

The pulp of the ripe pod is packed by the nature.  The color gets darker when kept for an extended period.

Tamarind is considered as a tropical spice of African origin and is widely used as an added ingredient to make tastier dishes specially in Asian and South African recipes.

Packing: in 50kg polylined gunny bags.
